Just Be Honest
That is what JBH stands for, and it was chosen before there was much of a company to attach it to. It is still the least complicated way to describe how we quote, how we report a problem, and how we hand a floor back.
The company
10 years working around other people’s opening hours
JBH Remodeling Group Sdn Bhd was incorporated on 10 March 2016 to take on renovation, interior and construction work. What the business actually grew into is narrower and more useful: works inside properties that cannot stop trading.
Most of what we do now sits inside shopping malls and office towers — tenancy lots stripped and restored between tenants, ceilings and flooring repaired on live trading levels, plumbing and fire-rated compliance work, and civil works around a building that stays open throughout. Property teams keep us on because the work is finished and invisible by the time the doors open.
We are not a large contractor and we do not present ourselves as one. The core team is small and the same people run the sites. That is the reason a property manager can call once and get a decision.
How we work
Working inside a trading property
The discipline is not the trade work. It is everything wrapped around it — permits, access, protection, sequencing and reinstatement.
- 01
Scope and quote
We walk the lot or the affected area with the property team, agree the scope against the works order, and price it. Access constraints and the available window are settled here, not on site.
- 02
Permits and access
Permit-to-work, contractor passes, lift and loading-bay bookings, and hot-works clearance where the scope needs it. Site personnel carry valid CIDB Construction Personnel Cards.
- 03
Hoarding and protection
Hoarding or barricade up, floor and shopfront protection down, dust screening where the work demands it. Nothing that reaches a shopper is left exposed.
- 04
The works window
Work runs after trading hours. Trades are sequenced so one night is one complete stage rather than a job left half-open across a week.
- 05
Clear, clean, reinstate
Debris removed the same night, surfaces cleaned, protection lifted, lighting and services restored, and the area checked before the property team walks it.
- 06
Handback and sign-off
The area is returned to the property team on schedule with the works order closed out. Defects, if any, are attended in the next window, not the next month.
Registration & compliance
Checkable before you call
Registration is published in full so a procurement team can verify it directly with CIDB rather than taking our word for it.
Full certificates available on request.
Structure
